RIVERSIDE UNITED CHURCH

Weekly Announcements

Sunday, July 11, 2010

We extend a warm welcome to those who are worshipping with our family for the first time.  Welcome to our family and to our worship service.  We are glad we can worship God together and feel blessed that you are a part of this family.  We hope that our time together is enjoyable and inspirational. We invite you to sign the Ritual of Friendship forms found in the pews and look forward to meeting you.

FundScrip Fundraising Program

Don’t forget us!  We are always in Camman Hall during coffee hour for you to purchase, order or pickup your shopping cards.

Help us help the church by using the FundScrip shopping cards.

Use them on a regular basis to purchase your groceries or to put gas into your vehicle.  And for a special purchase, consider purchasing a card BEFORE you go shopping!  They are easy to use; equivalent to cash, but you don’t need to go to a bank first!

All FundScrip earnings are currently going toward our deficit.  Absolutely no church money supports this fundraiser.

Each Sunday we sell our limited supply of pre-purchased cards.  We have $50 cards for each of the big grocery stores around us – President’s Choice cards for Zehrs, No Frills and the Real Canadian Superstore; Metro cards for Metro and Food Basics; and Sobey’s cards for Sobey’s and Price Chopper.  We have some $25 cards for Shoppers Drug Mart.  And $50 cards for you to purchase gas at either Petro-Canada (corner of Wyandotte & Lauzon or Tecumseh & Lauzon Parkway) or Canadian Tire (any of their gas bars or stores).

For questions or for more information: contact Dan Matthews @ 519-948-0262 or ask a FundScrip team member on Sunday.

See us in Camman Hall during coffee hour.

The FundScrip Team!

Welcome to the Riverside Presbyterian Congregation who will be worshipping with us this summer.  They will be leading us in worship when Rev. Ann is on vacation.

Please join us for coffee, refreshments and fellowship downstairs in Camman Hall, after the service today.  Coffee and refreshments are compliments of the Quilters.

A video of the 85th Anniversary Service held on June 20th, 2010 can be seen by clicking the following link:

The service highlights the use of various web-technologies. Several parts of the liturgy are led from different parts of the country by web video and Mardi Tindal converses with Twitter comments during her sermon. Have a look!

Your financial statements are available for pick up at the front door.  Please save the church the cost of postage and not only pick your statement, but deliver some to friends and family.
